Michael Vick: Playing for Washington Redskins would be "a dream"

New York Jets quarterback Michael Vick admits that it would be "a dream come true" to sign with the Washington Redskins ahead of the 2015 NFL season.

Michael Vick has revealed that it would be "a dream come true" to sign for the Washington Redskins ahead of the 2015 NFL season.

The New York Jets quarterback is due to be a free agent at the end of the 2014 season, and is expected to leave the AFC East team after starting just three games this season.

The 34-year-old, who was born in Virginia near the American capital, told Newsday: "I can be the face of any franchise. Hopefully there will be an opportunity for me in 2015. And that's what I'm looking forward to.

"I'll be open to playing for anybody that wants to win. But obviously, going back home, I mean, that'll be a dream come true. But I would hate to get my hopes up for something that wouldn't happen. So I can't even think about it right now."

The Redskins, who Vick faced for five season while with their NFC East rivals the Philadelphia Eagles, have used three different starting quarterbacks this season.
