Redskins boost playoff hopes

The Washington Redskins have boosted their chances of claiming a playoff place with a win over the Cleveland Browns.

The NFC East side were dealt a blow ahead of the game when it was confirmed that rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III would not be able to play, having sustained a knee injury last weekend.

The Browns led at half-time, Trent Richardson scoring two touchdowns in the first two quarters.

Alfred Morris led the Redskins' comeback, rushing two touchdowns to help Washington to a 38-21 win.

With the Giants losing, the Redskins move to the top of the NFC East, having won their last five games.
