Darrel Young: 'I wanted to punch Richard Sherman'

Darrel Young has admitted that he wanted to punch Richard Sherman during the Washington Redskins' 24-14 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

The Seahawks cornerback was involved in a post-game altercation with Trent Williams.

The Redskins' fullback told USA Today: "[Sherman] was taunting Mike Shanahan on the sideline, telling Mike, 'You can't throw over here'.

"I wanted to go over and punch him myself. I hope we got Seattle on our schedule next year."

The Seahawks are not scheduled to play against the Redskins during the regular season in 2013, but could face them in the post-season again.

Williams has since apologised for pushing Sherman's face during their scuffle.
