Report: Redskins "astonished" by Griffin progress

A report has claimed that the Washington Redskins have been "astonished" by the progress of Robert Griffin III this off-season.

The quarterback is recovering from an operation to repair two knee ligaments and is believed to be a doubt for the start of the 2013 NFL season.

A source told ESPN Radio that the team's medical staff have been surprised by the offensive rookie of the year's results during post-surgery tests.

Backup quarterback Kirk Cousins previously claimed that RG3 had "looked awesome" during off-season practices with the team.
