Washington Redskins sign youngster Jerry Rice Jr

Undrafted college prospect Jerry Rice Jr is given a chance with the Washington Redskins, with the player recently signing a contract with the NFL team.

The Washington Redskins have signed rising prospect Jerry Rice Jr.

Rice Jr joins the Skins having failed to make the Draft during his college years, where he spent time playing for both UCLA and UNLV.

"Just blessed," Rice Jr wrote on Instagram, where he also posted a picture of his contract with the team.

"This is an amazing day and I'm excited to get back to work to help the Redskins get back to the promised land."

The Skins are not the first major NFL side to show an interest in the player, with Rice Jr also trying out with the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers earlier this spring.
