Washington Redskins re-sign Fred Davis

Fred Davis has re-signed with the Washington Redskins on a one-year contract.

The tight end, who is currently recovering from an Achilles injury, had also been a target for the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets.

The 27-year-old played just seven games in 2012 before tearing his Achilles tendon, recording 325 receiving yards.

Davis has played for the Redskins since 2008.
