Tennessee Titans thrash New York Jets for third win

Titans dominant against Jets

Jake Locker's impressive first-half display has helped the Tennessee Titans improve to 3-1 with a 38-13 win over the New York Jets at LP Field in the NFL.

Tennessee wasted no time in making home advantage count as they broke the deadlock less than three minutes into the first quarter, with Delanie Walker finishing a short drive in the end zone.

Rob Bironas and Nick Folk then exchanged field goals either side of the first quarter, before the Titans took over as Jets quarterback Geno Smith was punished for loose passing.

Locker picked up the pieces from close range to find Nate Washington for his second score and discerned Justin Hunter late in the first half as the Titans excelled on offense.

Smith could offer little response at the other end for the Jets, who drove without success for much of the third quarter.

Tennessee turned the screw to kill the match early in the fourth quarter, with Karl Klug's fumble recovery earning the hosts their fourth touchdown.

Jeff Cumberland finally got New York on the scoreboard late on, with Washington swiftly replying as he completed a 77-yard touchdown pass from replacement quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick.
