Martin did not sustain concussion

Doug Martin has said that he does not have a concussion despite leaving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' pre-season game in the first quarter last night.

The running back was on the receiving end of a knee to the helmet early in the 25-21 loss to the New England Patriots, ending his game.

However, the team allowed the 24-year-old to speak to the media after the game, when he confirmed to the Tampa Bay Times that he was not suffering from a concussion.

Martin recorded 1,454 rushing yards and scored 11 touchdowns during the 2012 season.
