Free agent Mike Jenkins joins Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mike Jenkins agrees to a one-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers having left the Oakland Raiders earlier this month.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have confirmed that former Oakland Raiders cornerback Mike Jenkins has joined the club on a one-year deal from the free agency.

Jenkins, who joined the Dallas Cowboys in 2008 as a rookie, becomes the second former Pro Bowl player to join the Bucs since the start of the free agency.

"On Thursday, the Buccaneers announced the signing of Jenkins, a seventh-year cornerback most recently of the Oakland Raiders, to a one-year deal," the club confirmed on their official website.

Jenkins started 15 of the 16 regular season games last season for the Raiders.
