Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie wide receiver Mike Evans has admitted that he is a little too heavy, having missed part of the off-season through injury.
Evans sat out some of his first month as he sought to recover from a hamstring injury, with the Draft star now beginning to make preparations for the start of the new campaign.
"Physically, I'm not in tip-top shape. I'm getting back into my game shape," Evans told the Tampa Bay Times.
"As far as injury-wise, I feel good. I've been running, and I feel 100%. I've got to lose more weight. I'm too heavy right now. But the workouts I've been doing, I'll be fine. I'll be ready."
Evans was captured by the Buccaneers at seventh overall in the 2014 NFL Draft.
