Jeff Fisher: 'Sam Bradford is our quarterback'

St Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher insists that Sam Bradford is still the team's number one quarterback.

St Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher has insisted that Sam Bradford remains his first choice quarterback.

Bradford made a good start to the 2013 season, completing over 60% of his passes and throwing for 14 touchdowns with four interceptions in seven matches.

However, he suffered a season-ending torn ACL against the Carolina Panthers in October and was replaced by Kellen Clemens for the remainder of the campaign.

Clemens went 4-5 as a starter, throwing for 1,673 yards and eight touchdowns, but Fisher was in no doubt that Bradford would be the number one quarterback once he returned from his injury.

"Sam's doing great with the rehab. He's really excited. He took on a leadership role last year and he's maintained that and he's our quarterback, and we've said that," Fisher told ESPN.

The Rams finished last season with a 7-9 record, missing out on the playoffs for a ninth consecutive year.
