Dan Quinn "proud" of Seattle Seahawks defense

Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn expresses his pride at the team's Super Bowl-winning defense.

Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn has expressed his pride in the team's Super Bowl-winning defense.

The Seahawks finished the regular season with the number one ranked defense in the NFL, before obliterating Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos' record-breaking offense to win the Super Bowl in style on Sunday.

"The relationship I have with these players, to understand we're all in it together - I couldn't be more proud to be part of that group," Quinn is quoted as saying by the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

"I'll let you guys decide [if we're the NFL's best defense]. I couldn't be more fired up to be part of our unit and the attitude we play with. We're fast, we're physical and we have a real style about how we play.

"I couldn't be more proud of that unit that plays that aggressive style. We wanted to win with fundamentals. We talk tackling and turnovers every day that we practice and that certainly came through [on Sunday]."

Meanwhile, Quinn has revealed that he would have been interested in taking the head coaching job at the Cleveland Browns had they waited until after the Super Bowl to appoint a successor to Rob Chudzinski.
