Half-Time Report: San Francisco 49ers ahead at the break

The San Francisco 49ers have a 10-3 lead at half time against the Seattle Seahawks in their NFC championship match.

The San Francisco 49ers are beating the Seattle Seahawks in their NFC championship clash.

Jim Harbaugh's side took an early lead when Phil Dawson made no mistake from a 25-yard field goal for 3-0.

That was how the first quarter ended, but the 49ers thought that they had the game's first touchdown with five minutes gone in the second.

Frank Gore got the handoff and jumped over the line to get to the endzone for a one-yard score, but on the review it was shown that he had been touched and brought down a centimetre before the line. Therefore, the touchdown was not given.

However, just moments later Anthony Dixon did manage to get over the line for a 10-point lead.

The Seahawks were able to reduce the deficit before the break when Steven Hauschka fired a field goal through the posts from 32 yards.
