San Francisco 49ers promote Scott Brown to defensive line coaching role?

The San Francisco 49ers have reportedly sought to hire Scott Brown as the team's defensive line coach.

Brown has so far served as the San Fran's Midwest regional scout for the past three years, but Alex Marvez of FOX Sports has suggested via Twitter that Brown could gain an internal promotion to a coaching role.

The franchise also recently brought in Aubrayo Franklin as an assistant defensive line coach.
