Quinton Patton breaks foot in San Francisco 49ers win

The San Francisco 49ers have announced that Quinton Patton sustained a foot fracture during the team's win over the St Louis Rams on Thursday.

The rookie wide receiver, who made his first regular season reception earlier in the game, broke a metatarsal, but will remain on the team's active roster while recovering from the injury.

The 23-year-old was also hampered by injury during the pre-season, having broken his left index finger in training camp.

The 49ers selected Patton in the third round of this year's Draft.
