Jim Harbaugh: 'San Francisco 49ers must hold the football'

San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh has admitted that his side must be extra careful against the Tennessee Titans in order to hold on to the ball.

Harbaugh has recognised the Titans as excellent at stripping the ball from their opposition and believes that stopping them doing that would be a big step towards the win.

"They're the best we've seen at clubbing, punching, stripping, lawn-mowering, just lodging it out from opponents," Harbaugh told the San Francisco Chronicle.

"It's always a critical thing to our well-being to have ball security and not turn the ball over. It's emphasised weekly, daily, but, yes, this week we have to emphasise it even more."

Harbaugh has been at the helm at the 49ers since 2011.
