Vic Fangio wary of Marshawn Lynch threat

Marshawn Lynch is in the top two running backs in the NFL, according to Vic Fangio.

San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Vic Fangio has admitted that his side must be wary of the threat of Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch in Sunday's NFC championship game.

Fangio said that Lynch is in the top two running backs in the league and that his ability to change direction quickly is probably his strongest asset.

"He's either the best or second best back in the league depending upon who you ask," Fangio told the club's official website. "He and Adrian Peterson are the two top running backs in this league.

"He's very strong, very relentless in his running style, and yet he's got some allusiveness to him that he can jump-cut, makes really good cuts and can jump-cut laterally, gets you a little bit off-balance.

"He's got you a little off balanced and now he turns his power on. He's a powerful back, but yet he has the ability to get you off-balance, which now makes his power even more effective."

The 49ers are 14-4 for the season, while the Seahawks are 14-3.
