Vic Fangio: 'Green Bay Packers haven't changed a lot'

San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Vic Fangio believes that the Green Bay Packers' offense has not changed a lot over the 2013 season.

Vic Fangio has said that the Green Bay Packers have not changed their offense a lot since they last played the San Francisco 49ers.

The two sides will play for the fourth time in the last two seasons when they meet in the wildcard round of the playoffs on Sunday, having already met in the opening week of the 2013 regular.

The 49ers' defensive coordinator told reporters: "They really haven't changed a whole lot. To me, that's a credit to their coaches and the system that they have installed there. It's a flexible system.

"They were able to just trudge along and run their same offense that they've always run, highlighting different areas of it and relying more on the running game. But, nothing's changed in their offense. They've just called more runs than they used to.

"They're a tough offense in spite of not having [quarterback Aaron] Rodgers for seven or eight games, whatever it was, they're still highly ranked in all areas. So, kind of gives you an indication of their overall offensive talent. And then you bring him back, who many people think the best quarterback in the league, and they're a tough assignment."

The 49ers beat the Packers in last season's playoffs on their way to the Super Bowl.
