Cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha has signed a one-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers.
The 31-year-old had been a free agent since reaching the end of his contract with the Philadelphia Eagles.
He made 55 tackles for the Eagles in 2012, the second-highest total of his 10-season NFL career.
Asomugha featured in three Pro Bowls while with the Oakland Raiders earlier in his career.
