Half-Time Report: San Francisco 49ers in control against New Orleans Saints

The San Francisco 49ers score three first-half touchdowns to take a 21-10 lead over the New Orleans Saints.

The San Francisco 49ers have headed into half time with a 21-10 lead over the New Orleans Saints in their NFL clash at the Superdome this evening.

The 49ers took an early lead when Antoine Bethea picked off a Drew Brees pass, allowing Frank Gore to run the ball over from four yards out.

The visitors doubled their advantage shortly before the end of the first quarter when Colin Kaepernick scrambled down the field before Carlos Hyde carried it in.

Brandin Cooks hauled in a big catch to get the Saints back into contention in the second half, but Kaepernick connected with Anquan Boldin shortly after to restore the 49ers' advantage.

Brees looked for Jimmy Graham just before the break to close the gap again, but Chris Culliver picked it off to deny the home side.
