Former San Diego State Aztecs running back Adam Muema has claimed that God told him to leave the NFL scouting combine at the weekend.
Muema missed the workouts on Sunday and explained later that he was "following God", who had allegedly told him that he would fulfil his "dream" to play for the Seattle Seahawks if he didn't participate.
Teams reportedly knew about his decision to leave and will have another chance to see the 21-year-old in action at San Diego State's pro day next month.
"Can't go wrong with God. [He] told me to sit down, be quiet, and enjoy the peace," Muema told U-T San Diego.
Muema, who is the fourth leading rusher in Aztecs history, made 1,244 yards and scored 15 touchdowns last year, leading him to be projected as a fourth to seventh round Draft pick.
