Mike Remmers joins San Diego Chargers

The San Diego Chargers sign tackle Mike Remmers from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad following the season-ending ankle injury picked up by Mike Harris.

The San Diego Chargers have signed tackle Mike Remmers.

The 23-year-old's arrival comes four days after Mike Harris suffered a season-ending ankle injury in the 27-17 defeat against the Oakland Raiders.

Remmers takes Harris's place in the roster after making the switch from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers practice squad.

He played 44 games for Oregon State before signing for the Denver Broncos in 2012.

After playing just one pre-season game for Denver, he was waived and later joined Tampa Bay, where he failed to make an appearance.
