Half-Time Report: Cleveland Browns, San Diego Chargers level at break

The San Diego Chargers and Cleveland Browns are level at 13-13 at half time in their NFL game at the Qualcomm Stadium.

The San Diego Chargers and Cleveland Browns have headed into half time level at 13-13 in their NFL clash at the Qualcomm Stadium.

The Chargers were pressuring the visitors' offense early on when Josh McCown was sacked for a loss of eight yards, also resulting in the quarterback fumbling the ball, which Melvin Ingram recovered for the hosts.

Philip Rivers was also tested early on, with Chris Kirksey bringing him down as he tried to get the ball away for the Chargers, ensuring that neither side were off the mark in the opening 10 minutes.

It was Cleveland who finally opened the scoring when rookie kicker Travis Coons split the upright from 33 yards out, but the home side soon took the lead, with Rivers picking out Keenan Allen from 28 yards out for a touchdown.

Wide receiver Duke Johnson recorded his first NFL touchdown early in the second quarter to restore Cleveland's lead, just getting his fingertips to a 34-yard pass from McCown.

Johnson was involved again, while Isaiah Crowell made a couple of big runs for Cleveland, but the drive stalled, allowing the Chargers to level the scores with a field goal shortly after.

San Diego edged back ahead with just over a minute remaining before the interval, as first-year kicker Josh Lambo booted the ball through from 45 yards out, but Coons was on target down the other end just before the break to leave the teams level again.
