Steelers keep Sylvester for season

Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Stevenson Sylvester has signed a new one-year deal with the club.

Sylvester's contract had expired at the Steelers but they have kept him on for another season owing to a lack of players on their defensive roster.

The 2010 fifth-round draft pick was injured for the final six games of the 2012 regular season but is expected to make the start of 2013.

Sylvester has 18 career tackles and four assists.
