Plaxico Burress expected to miss 2013 NFL season with shoulder injury

Plaxico Burress has sustained a shoulder injury which could prevent him from playing during with 2013 NFL season.

The Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver suffered a torn rotator cuff during practice yesterday as he landed awkwardly after attempting a catch.

The 35-year-old was carted off the field, and was later spotted with his right arm in a sling.

Burress has played in 11 previous seasons, with 8,499 career receiving yards and 64 touchdowns.
