Matthew Tucker to cover for injured Chris Polk

The Philadelphia Eagles have promoted Matthew Tucker from their practice squad ahead of today's NFL game against the Dallas Cowboys.

The running back will cover for Chris Polk, who has been ruled out of the clash with a shoulder injury.

The 22-year-old joined the NFC East side as an undrafted free agent earlier this year, before being released and signed to the practice squad at the end of the summer.

Cornerback Jordan Poyer was released to make room for Tucker on the active roster.
