Chip Kelly: 'Philadelphia Eagles not trading up for Marcus Mariota'

Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly insists that the franchise will not trade up in order to land Marcus Mariota in the Draft.

Philadelphia Eagles coach Chip Kelly has insisted that he will not be willing to give up the assets required to trade up the Draft in order to land Marcus Mariota.

Oregon quarterback Mariota is a top target for many teams in the NFL looking to acquire a signal-caller this summer, but Kelly is adamant that the Eagles will not be one of them.

"Let's dispel that right now," Kelly said, according to ESPN.

"I think that stuff's crazy. You guys have been going with that stuff all along. I think Marcus is the best quarterback in the draft. We will never mortgage our future to go all the way up to get somebody like that, because we have too many other holes we have to take care of."

The Eagles have already sent quarterback Nick Foles and Draft picks, including a second-round pick in 2016, to the St Louis Rams for Sam Bradford.
