Quarterback Sam Bradford happy with knee in pre-season

Bradford 'didn't expect knee to survive'

New Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford has revealed that his knee is holding up well through pre-season.

The 27-year-old has suffered two serious knee injuries in the last three years, and he has not played an NFL match for almost two seasons.

He told the Philadelphia Inquirer: "I think I feel better than what I was expecting. I thought my knee would hold up, but I wasn't sure. From day one when I wasn't taking reps, the goal was to be ready for training camp. So that when it got here, I was going to be able to go out there and not be limited.

"And that's where we've been so far. And you know, for me, I need the reps. So being out there and getting these reps have been great for me."

Bradford could make his Eagles debut in week one against the Atlanta Falcons.
