Heisman Trophy finalists named

The finalists for this year's Heisman Trophy have been revealed.

Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel is the favourite to win the coveted prize, while Notre Dame linebacker Manti Te'o and Kansas State QB Collin Klein are also in the running.

The trophy is awarded to the most outstanding college player of the year.

Manziel would be the first freshman player to win the award.

NFL quarterbacks Robert Griffin III, Cam Newton and Sam Bradford have been among the recent winners during their college careers.
