Ryan: 'Tebow is a game-time decision'

Rex Ryan has said that he will make a decision on whether Tim Tebow will be active against the Arizona Cardinals at game-time.

The New York Jets backup quarterback is recovering from fractured ribs, sustained against the Seattle Seahawks last month.

The Jets coach told the Associated Press: "I haven't made that decision or anyone else made that decision. Whether there's speculation or not, that's a decision that I haven't made."

Tebow added: "I feel like I'm getting a little bit better every day. Obviously, I'd love to be out there doing everything, but they're trying to be smart, so just slowly progressing with things every day. It'll be up to coach and the docs."

The former Denver Broncos starting quarterback has made cameo appearances alongside Jets starter Mark Sanchez this season, but didn't play against the New England Patriots last week because of the injury.

Greg McElroy would step in as backup quarterback if Tebow is unable to feature.
