Sheldon Richardson wants Muhammad Wilkerson to be handed big contract

New York Jets defensive end Sheldon Richardson expects Muhammad Wilkerson to be handed a huge new contract.

Muhammad Wilkerson deserves as much money as Ndamukong Suh, according to his New York Jets teammate Sheldon Richardson.

The defensive tackle has been linked with a new deal in recent weeks, and Richardson has called on his team to reward him for his efforts over the past four seasons.

He told New York Daily News: "He's worth that penny. And you know what penny I'm talking about. We don't just want JJ Watt money. We want it all. We want [Ndamukong] Suh money. Hopefully everybody wants that type of bread in this league."

Wilkerson made six sacks last season.
