Milliner "felt good" in first Jets practice

Dee Milliner has said that it "felt good" to take part in his first practice in pads with the New York Jets.

The cornerback took to the practice field in pads for the first time yesterday, having signed his rookie contract with the team on Monday.

The 21-year-old told the team's official website: "Man, it was good to get back out here on the field, get through the drills, get back out there with the team.

"It felt good the whole time I was out there, just doing what the trainers asked me and just moving on and progressing.

"When you've been out away from it for a while, you always want to get back out there and join the team, get back out into hitting. That's one of the things I like to do, so hopefully I'll get back out there doing that soon."

The Jets acquired Milliner with their first-round pick in this year's draft.
