New York Jets' Geno Smith: 'Focus can't change for New England Patriots game'

Geno Smith admits that the Jets must prepare as normal against the Patriots.

New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith has urged his teammates to prepare no differently for Sunday's New England Patriots game than they would for any other.

While facing their fellow AFC East contenders will provide a stern test, Smith said that they would continue an all-round preparation rather than any specific focus.

"[We'll] just prepare for them as we do every single week," he told the club's official website. "A lot of film study, doing a ton of those things.

"Getting in meetings with the wideouts, talking things over, talking things over with Marty Mornhinweg, coach David Lee, all of the guys. We're just continuing to progress.

"We had a really good day of practice today. I think guys came out sharp, mentally focused. We've got to continue to just stay tuned in and just continue to work."

The Jets have a 3-3 start to their season, while the Patriots are 5-1.
