The New York Giants have headed into half time ahead against their city rivals the New York Jets after opening up a 20-10 advantage at the MetLife Stadium.
Both sides had to punt on their first drives of the game, but the Jets managed to open the scoring midway through the first quarter when Randy Bullock kicked a 24-yard field goal after Bilal Powell came up short trying to run in for a touchdown.
The Giants edged ahead at the start of the second quarter though as a sack on Ryan Fitzpatrick forced the Jets to punt, setting up Dwayne Harris for an 80-yard punt return for a touchdown.
Chris Ivory had a carry as the Jets attempted to find their first touchdown of the day, but the running back fumbled as he was tackled, with Jason Pierre-Paul recovering the ball for the Giants.
Hakeem Nicks came up short as Eli Manning tossed the ball deep down field, leaving Josh Brown to kick a field goal for the designated home side.
The Jets soon tied the scores as Fitzpatrick completed a shuttle pass to Powell, leaving the running back to power down the sideline for the touchdown.
The Giants needed just over a minute to restore their lead though, as Manning fired a 72-yard pass to Beckham, with the wide receiver winning a foot race with two defenders to get across the line, before Brown added a further field goal at the cusp of half time.
