Brees identifies Saints' problems

New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has insisted that the team have identified where they went wrong this past season.

Despite being considered favourites to make the Super Bowl this year, a number of injuries ensured that the Saints failed to make the playoffs.

However, after speaking with coach Sean Payton and general manager Mickey Loomis, Brees believes that they understand how they can turn it around next year.

"I think we've identified the problems or the things that got us beat or the things that didn't allow us to be as good as we know we can be, and we have the solution to fix it," Brees told reporters.

"It's going to take a lot of work, but I know we can get it done."

Brees did not detail any of the problems specifically, but alluded to a lack of leadership in the locker room as being one of the major issues.
