Shane Vereen has said that the New England Patriots offense "slipped up" towards the end of the 2012 NFL season.
The AFC East champions lost the AFC Championship game earlier this year, failing to score against the Baltimore Ravens in the second half.
The running back told NFL Radio: "I think as an offense we felt like we slipped up, especially at the end of the season, the way the season ended.
"Going into OTAs, that was our focus. There is still a lot we need to work on, there are a lot of new faces, it's still a younger offense, and so we have a lot of jelling to do. But I think we're on the right track."
The Patriots have missed the post-season just twice since 2001.
