Wide receiver Terrell Owens believes that he would be able to contribute to the New England Patriots if he was signed by the team.

Terrell Owens has said that it would be a "no-brainer" to join the New England Patriots.

The wide receiver, who has not played in the NFL since 2010, has been linked to the side after taking part in a recent workout with quarterback Tom Brady.

The 39-year-old told BlindsideFootball.com: "We happened to be on the same field at the same time, and it obviously created a big buzz with the two of us being on the field throwing the football around.

"I think that's a no-brainer. You look at what they've done over the years. Under the tutelage of Tom and Coach [Bill] Belichick, I think the sky would be the limit in terms of what I'd be able to do. Considering my body of work and my history of playing the game."

The Boston Herald has reported that there have been no contract talks between Owens and the Patriots.
