Aaron Hernandez has returned to the practice field with the New England Patriots for the first time since undergoing shoulder surgery.
The tight end is yet to be cleared for contact, but was able to run routes and catch passes from all three of the team's quarterbacks.
The 23-year-old had been expected to miss organised team activities and training minicamps while recovering from the operation.
Hernandez, who missed six games through injury in 2012, scored five touchdowns from the Patriots last season.
