The Miami Dolphins believe that they will have to play their best football to beat the New England Patriots this Sunday.

The Miami Dolphins have said they must play their best game of the year if they are to beat the New England Patriots this weekend.

The Dolphins have struggled against Patriots quarterback Tom Brady in recent years.

Coach Joe Philbin told the Miami Herald: "It's going to be fun, a great opportunity to see where we are as a team. We are going to have to score points to beat this team. That puts pressure on your offense."

Defensive coordintor Kevin Coyle added: They're not a team that uses a lot of trickery. They do a great job of working matchups. When you do things to try to negate their passing game, they're very effective running the ball.

"Brady doesn't make mistakes, he has three interceptions, 24 touchdowns. We didn't have great success against them in Cincinnati [when Coyle was a coach there]. Hopefully, we do a better job here."

The Patriots top the AFC East with an 8-3 record, while the Dolphins sit second on 5-6.
