Danny Amendola misses second New England Patriots practice

Danny Amendola has missed a second day of practice with the New England Patriots with an undisclosed injury.

The wide receiver has not been spotted on the field this week, with the team's head coach Bill Belichick describing his condition as "day-to-day".

The 27-year-old took a hit to the back of the head during the AFC East side's pre-season win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Friday, but was able to return to the game two plays later.

Amendola, who joined the Patriots after reaching the end of his contract with the St Louis Rams earlier this year, recorded 71 receiving yards and scored a touchdown during last week's game.
