Vikings retain Priefer for 2014 season

The Minnesota Vikings have confirmed that Mike Priefer will remain as the NFC North side's special teams coordinator for the 2014 NFL season.

Priefer has been accused of making homophobic remarks during the 2012 season by the team's former punter Chris Kluwe.

The team have made numerous coaching changes after missing out on a place in the playoffs this season, including firing head coach Leslie Frazier, replacing him with former Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer.

The Vikings are currently investigating Kluwe's allegations, with over 20 current and former employees of the team being spoken to.
