Linebacker Desmond Bishop will play for the Minnesota Vikings in 2013 after signing a one-year contract with the side.

Desmond Bishop has agreed a one-year contract with the Minnesota Vikings.

The linebacker spent less than a week as a free agent following his release from the Green Bay Packers.

The 28-year-old, who missed last season with a hamstring injury, had also received interest from the New York Giants and Kansas City Chiefs.

Bishop made 90 tackles and five sacks during his last healthy season in the NFL.
