Half-Time Report: Minnesota Vikings lead Pittsburgh Steelers at Wembley

Vikings lead Steelers at Wembley

The Minnesota Vikings have a 20-10 lead over the Pittsburgh Steelers at half time in their NFL clash at Wembley Stadium.

Matt Cassel failed to secure a first down in his first drive as a Vikings player, but Blair Walsh kicked a 54-yard field goal to get the NFC North side off the mark.

Wide receiver Greg Jennings picked up a short pass from the quarterback midway through the first quarter, breaking off tackles from Ike Taylor and Troy Polamalu to score a 70-yard touchdown.

The Steelers got themselves back into the game just before the end of the first quarter, as rookie running back Le'Veon Bell burst into the end zone on his regular season debut.

A 60-yard run from 2012 MVP Adrian Peterson helped the Vikings extend their lead, but Shaun Suisham added a field goal for the AFC North team.

Walsh kicked a further three points just before the break to leave the Vikings in a strong position to secure their first win of the season.
