DeVante Parker undergoes precautionary foot surgery

Miami Dolphins wide receiver DeVante Parker has undergone surgery on his left foot, but will return in time for the coming NFL season.

According to the Miami Herald, Parker is to miss the team's mini-camp and the start of training camps, before returning with enough time to prepare for Miami's opener.

It is also reported that the surgery was undertaken as a precautionary measure given that the Dolphins do not want to have to deal with a potential recurring injury during the season.

Parker was a first-round pick in the recent 2015 Draft.
