Miami Dolphins running back Knowshon Moreno could need to undergo surgery to repair an injured knee, according to a report in the press.
Moreno has been far from prominent as the Dolphins prepare during their off-season, with NFL Media's Ian Rapoport suggesting that his absence is because of a knee injury.
Rapoport says that a source has informed him that arthroscopic surgery is a possibility for the player, with Moreno due to consult a doctor next week.
Moreno has already signed a one-year $3m (£1.7m) contract, with the details being confirmed this off-season.
