Brian Hartline defends Miami Dolphins coach Jim Turner

Miami Dolphins receiver Brian Hartline defends offensive line coach Jim Turner after he was marked down as a "person of interest" in the NFL's investigation.

Miami Dolphins receiver Brian Hartline has defended offensive line coach Jim Turner after his training style was called into question.

Turner has been marked down as a "person of interest" to the NFL as they continue their investigation into allegations of player harassment and bullying at the club after Jonathan Martin left earlier this month.

Turner is known to treat players fairly hard, yelling and screaming at them throughout practice, and Hartline insists that he wouldn't want his coach any other way despite fears that he may have crossed the line with Martin.

"He hasn't changed his demeanor, and we haven't changed our demeanor toward him," Hartline is quoted as saying by ESPN.

"Let's put it this way: If I had a tentative O-line coach, I would not want him coaching my O-line. Anyone in the locker room knows that, what O-line coaches are made of. You would not want a tentative, scared, shy O-line coach."

The NFL's lead investigator Ted Wells began interviews with players and staff members on Monday and will continue them throughout the week.
