Dave Toub: 'Kansas City Chiefs special teams must do better'

Dave Toub intends to prepare the Kansas City Chiefs special teams better for the trip to New York Giants.

Kansas City Chiefs special teams coordinator Dave Toub has demanded more from his side despite their 3-0 start to the 2013 NFL season.

Although the Chiefs managed a solid win over the Philadelphia Eagles in their last game, Toub said that the special teams must prepare better for opposition punts.

"We have to do a better job," Toub told the club's official website. "In last week's game, they weren't punting the ball very well; they were struggling, so we had [Dexter McCluster] deeper.

"We were prepared for a deeper game and the ball ended up hitting the ground a little bit too many times in that game. I kept waiting for the deeper kick and it never came; we couldn't put him in the right spot, according to what we did in that game."

The Chiefs travel to the New York Giants on Sunday.
