Jamaal Charles set for bigger workload

Kansas City Chiefs Jamaal Charles expects to be more involved in plays over the final four games of the season.

Kansas City Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles will be expected to feature heavily over the next four games, according to offensive co-ordinator Doug Pederson.

The Chiefs are currently on a two-game losing streak but remain in contention to capture their second straight playoff berth.

"We as a staff, and me as a coordinator, I have to allow him to touch the football as often as we can," Pederson said, according to The Kansas City Star.

"You look at the stat sheet and look at the targets and the number of touches that guys get, and then you go back and say, 'Oh, I wish I would have done this or I wish I would have done that, or more of this or less of that,' after the game, win or lose."

Charles was involved in just 10 plays in last week's loss to the Denver Broncos, while his 35 rushing yards were his lowest since week two of the season.
