Eric Berry returns for Kansas City Chief this week

Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry will make his return from illness against the Arizona Cardinals in pre-season on Saturday night.

The 26-year-old was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma last season, and missed the majority of the campaign.

However, he is now fully recovered and has taken part in practice in pre-season.

The club has announced that he will make an appearance at the weekend against the Cardinals, but warned that they are not yet sure how long he will play.

Berry has been with the Chiefs since 2010.
