Indianapolis Colts coach Chuck Pagano: 'Andrew Luck fooled everybody, even me'

Quarterback Andrew Luck went against his own play-call against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, but Chuck Pagano says that he doesn't mind when it leads to the team scoring points.

Indianapolis Colts Chuck Pagano has admitted that even he was fooled by Andrew Luck's decision to run the football to score against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

On a vital third down at the 49ers' six-yard line, Luck hid the ball in his chest and ran in a touchdown himself, despite making a long play call to his teammates.

"He made a long play call and then I just heard him say 'sucker' at the end of it," Pagano laughed, speaking to IndyStar.com. "He fooled everybody. As soon as I saw him in the end zone and spiking the ball, it felt awesome. That turned out to be the game winner.

"It was a signature win for us. Across the board, in all three phases, that was a complete football game, as complete as we've played since I've been in Indianapolis."

Pagano and his side travel to the 0-3 Jacksonville Jaguars in week four.
